  • Anirudh Ravichander-Kavya Maran’s Wedding Invite: Designer Reveals Theme, Customisation Details

Anirudh Ravichander-Kavya Maran’s Wedding Invite: Designer Reveals Theme, Customisation Details

The wedding celebrations of music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Sunrisers Hyderabad owner Kavya Maran have attracted considerable attention, with details of their wedding festivities generating curiosity.

In an exclusive interview with mid-day, invitation designer Ranjini Iyengar spoke about the creative process behind the reception invite, including the choice of colours, the customised packaging and her experience working with the couple.

Anirudh Ravichander-Kavya Maran’s Reception Invite: Designer Explains Blue-And-White Theme

Ranjini Iyengar revealed that the couple wanted an invitation that stood out through its design without appearing overly elaborate. The team opted for a wooden box featuring three-dimensional elements, keeping in mind that the recipients should find it worth preserving.

Explaining the thought behind the packaging, the designer said, “We wanted to do a box with 3D elements, but also something people will keep because Anirudh and Kavya were sure their guests got a lot of boxes day in and day out. At the same time we wanted it to be understated and not go overboard with colours.”

The blue-and-white colour palette was another important aspect of the design. According to Iyengar, the couple liked the combination, which eventually aligned with the setting of their reported destination wedding in Greece.

Discussing how the theme came together, she said, “We were toying between certain colours, but they liked white and blue. It also correlated with Greece later. Initially we didn’t want to because it had nothing to do with the location. But it does have significance to them, so in the end it made sense.”

Designer Says Anirudh Ravichander And Kavya Maran Were Involved In The Process

Iyengar also spoke about her interactions with Anirudh and Kavya during the customisation process. She revealed that the couple remained closely involved in the discussions and had a clear understanding of what they wanted for the invitation.

Describing her experience, the designer said, “This experience was extremely wholesome because they came with a lot of trust. It’s a huge process when you’re working with customisation. We would speak almost 3-4 times a day, going back and forth sending options. They were very involved and also very clear about their likes and dislikes. They’re both in tandem with each other. Since they’re creative, they understand the importance of giving that flexibility to the people they’re working with because it makes a massive difference,” said the designer.

However, the project also came with its share of challenges. Iyengar recalled facing difficulties during the production stage and admitted that the initial design did not meet her expectations. Despite the setbacks, she was pleased with the final result.

Recalling the experience, she said, “My first draft was so ugly I almost had tears. There were times in this process when I faced production challenges, and I would just cry for days. But I wouldn’t take it to them because it was not their problem. However, I am happy with the outcome.”

Anirudh Ravichander-Kavya Maran Wedding: What We Know So Far

According to reports, Anirudh and Kavya are expected to have a destination wedding in Greece on November 10 and 11, with the celebrations reportedly limited to close friends and family members. A reception is scheduled to take place in Chennai on November 21.

The reception is expected to bring together guests from the entertainment, political and cricketing worlds, given the couple’s professional associations. However, the complete guest list has not been made public.

Reports also suggest that the Maran family has extended invitations to Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. These details, along with the wedding arrangements, are yet to be officially confirmed by the families.

The actor shared that he has named it Tara Villa. His Mumbai home is named Shakti, after his mother. He and Neha initially thought of naming it Tanuja House, after her mother. However, since she lost her father at the beginning of 2026, the couple decided to name it after Neha’s parents, combining TA from Tanuja and RA from Rakesh.

Boasting an all-white facade, the villa fulfils Arjun’s dream of owning a holiday home, and he personally designed every element of the property. A Panchmukhi Hanuman idol is placed at the entrance gate to ward off the evil eye.

Before you enter the villa, there is a huge manicured lawn on one side and a pool on the other. Stairs lead down to another lawn, where Arjun and Neha grow fruits and vegetables.

The living room is entirely white, including the furniture and recliner chairs, with pops of colour coming through a blue rug at the centre, black door handles, indoor plants, paintings, and showpieces arranged in wall niches.

The kitchen, featuring designer tiles, is attached to the living room. However, the main cooking takes place in an outdoor kitchen, with staff quarters located above it. The same tiles have been used on the staircase that leads to the upper floor.

The open-floor plan seamlessly extends into the dining area, which exudes luxury with its all-white dining set, white curtains, and elegant planters.

The bedroom also follows the same design theme, featuring white walls, a white bed, and white side tables. Pops of colour come through the linen, black frames, a beige-and-black rug, a blue recliner, and cushions. Upon entering the room, one notices a separate dressing area, which the actor said he designed especially for his wife.

The bedroom opens onto a vast terrace with black-and-white flooring, a jacuzzi, lush green plants, and a cabana furnished with patio seating.

  • Hina Khan Reveals Why She And Rocky Jaiswal Decided To Marry Without Planning

Hina Khan Reveals Why She And Rocky Jaiswal Decided To Marry Without Planning

Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal had been together for over a decade before they decided to get married in June 2025. However, the decision did not come after months of wedding preparations or a carefully planned ceremony. The actor has now revealed that the couple got married in less than 15 minutes, explaining how her stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis and the uncertainty surrounding her health played a major role in their decision to get married.

Hina recently appeared on tennis star Sania Mirza’s talk show, where the two spoke about relationships, life and some personal moments. During their conversation, Sania showed Hina a photograph from her wedding day. Looking back at the picture, the actor shared that getting married was something she and Rocky had not planned.

Hina Khan Says Cancer Diagnosis Made Her Rethink Marriage

Recalling how the wedding came about, Hina said, “This was just a random decision. We didn’t plan this. I don’t think we were ready to get married or anything. We have been together for the longest time, more than 10 years. I think 13-14 years now. And it is just that, whatever I was going through health-wise, I told him, ‘Either you move ahead… you go get married to somebody, whoever you want to, or you better get married to me because I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow.’”

The actor also revealed just how quickly the wedding took place when Sania asked her if they had got married in 15 minutes. Hina responded, “In less than that, actually.”

She further explained that the uncertainty surrounding her health made her want to take the step without waiting any longer. Hina said, “If I had to put it that way, it was uncertainty, because I don’t know what is going to happen. That is with everybody, to be very honest. So I was just like, ‘Let’s go ahead and do it.’ And he said, ‘Okay.’ He never had issues.”

A Look At Hina Khan And Rocky Jaiswal’s Relationship

Hina and Rocky’s relationship goes back to their time on the sets of the popular television show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. While Hina played Akshara, the show’s lead character, Rocky was associated with the production team as a producer. Their professional association eventually turned into a relationship, which they made public in 2017.

After dating for more than 13 years, the couple got married on June 4, 2025, in an intimate ceremony on the terrace of their Mumbai home. The wedding took place while Hina was undergoing treatment for stage 3 breast cancer.

  • Sanya Malhotra Makes A Statement In Rs 2.2 Lakh Masaba Gupta Ensemble At Priyanka Chopra’s Diwali Bash

Sanya Malhotra Makes A Statement In Rs 2.2 Lakh Masaba Gupta Ensemble At Priyanka Chopra’s Diwali Bash

Sestive fashion is getting a contemporary makeover, and Sanya Malhotra is making a strong case for it. The actor gave the traditional lehenga and saree a miss at Priyanka Chopra’s Diwali party in Los Angeles. The diva chose a black-and-gold co-ord set instead.

Designed by Masaba Gupta, the outfit brought together Indian embroidery, a mini skirt, and a statement cape. And this is not an everyday party outfit either. According to the official website, the ensemble comes with a price tag of Rs 2.2 lakh.

Sanya gave her Instagram followers a glimpse of her Diwali celebrations on October 31 by sharing a series of pictures in the outfit. The actor’s outfit featured a black bralette with a plunging neckline and intricate antique gold zardozi embroidery. Instead of pairing it with a conventional lehenga or a long skirt, she opted for a matching high-waisted mini skort. Detailed with elaborate embroidery, textured patterns, and metallic accents, the bottom added a playful, modern touch to the otherwise traditional design.

The most interesting part of the ensemble was the floor-length cape. It featured bold gold stripes, embroidered borders, and detailed motifs along the sleeves and hem. The flowing black cape also balanced the shorter silhouette of the bralette and mini skort.

The accessories were rooted in Indian festive fashion. Sanya wore an elaborate gold maang tikka and oversized traditional earrings. She kept her hair sleek and centre-parted, while delicate metallic strappy heels added a modern finishing touch.

The black-and-gold combination gave the ensemble a classic festive colour palette, but the styling was far from conventional. By pairing traditional zardozi work with a bralette, mini skort and cape, Sanya showed how Indian craftsmanship can work with contemporary silhouettes. For anyone looking to move beyond the usual festive wardrobe choices, this look offers plenty of inspiration.

  • “That Was The Natural Turn My Body Took”: When Aishwarya Rai Reacted To Post-Pregnancy Body-Shaming

“That Was The Natural Turn My Body Took”: When Aishwarya Rai Reacted To Post-Pregnancy Body-Shaming

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is celebrating her 53rd birthday today, November 1. The actor embraced motherhood in 2011 when she and Abhishek Bachchan welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. However, alongside the good wishes, Aishwarya also faced criticism and online trolling over the weight she gained during and after her pregnancy. The actor later addressed the issue publicly.

In a 2015 interview with British journalist David Frost, Aishwarya spoke about the scrutiny surrounding her post-pregnancy appearance.

She said as reported by The Indian Express, “It was natural in my case; that was the natural turn that my body took in terms of whether I gained weight or I had water retention or whatever else that goes with the space. I was comfortable, and that’s why I have been who I have been. I stepped out in public when I could take time out from my baby, and if I did think it was a big deal, I would have been in hiding or would have done something about it.”

Recently, Katrina Kaif faced similar criticism. During a Ganesh Chaturthi celebration in Mumbai, images of the actor went viral, with trolls claiming that her career was over because she had gained weight, seemingly forgetting that she gave birth to her son, Vihaan, less than a year ago.

In an interview with Vogue, where she appeared as the cover star, Katrina hit back at a section of social media users who had reduced her worth to a two-digit number on the weighing scale.

Scoffing at internet users who believed they had the right to comment on her weight, she asked, “Bounce back? From where?”

“I have taken a step ahead towards something that was a deep desire in my heart, so why would I want to go back?” the actor said, questioning the idea of “bouncing back” as she spoke about embracing motherhood.

She also spoke candidly about childbirth, saying, “The first few days after I gave birth, it was an indescribable feeling to see Vihaan’s face and know that four years of a tumultuous journey for me and Vicky had led to this.”

While a section of social media remains obsessed with Katrina Kaif’s weight and whether it has affected her career in the entertainment industry, the actor is enjoying every moment with her son, who will turn one on 7 November, while also spending quality time with her family.

“I am very aware of my fitness journey and where my body feels at its most energetic. I will reach there at my own pace,” she said, shutting down the body-shaming trolls.

  • ‘Don’t Like To Be The Aunty Who Criticises’: Radhika Gupta On Gen Z Investments

‘Don’t Like To Be The Aunty Who Criticises’: Radhika Gupta On Gen Z Investments

NDTV Profit Ignite 2026: Radhika Gupta, MD and CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, has a message for young investors navigating volatile markets: don’t panic over short-term movements, and give your investments time to grow.

Speaking at NDTV Profit Ignite on Wednesday, Gupta said she was reluctant to criticise Gen Z for its approach to investing. She believes the younger generation is smart, confident and has started investing earlier than previous generations. “At 43, I don’t like to be the aunty who is criticising Gen Z,” Gupta said, adding that “the country, in many ways, has seen the power of Gen Z”.

“I generally believe Gen Z is a very smart generation. It’s a very confident generation. It has started its investment journey earlier than my generation has,” she said. Her remarks came amid questions about young investors using digital platforms to invest in mutual funds and equity products. For many of them, the experience of navigating a market downturn and dealing with volatility is relatively new.

Gupta said her own attitude towards market crises had changed with age and experience. “I saw my first crisis in 2008 and I thought the world was over. Now anything happens and I’m like, what is the furore about?” she said.

Radhika Gupta’s Advice To Gen Z Investors

Gupta advised young investors against checking their portfolios too frequently or following market news simply to track their investments.

“My genuine advice to Gen Z is don’t watch the news,” she said. “Watching your portfolio every day… But don’t watch news to check your net asset value. That’s Mann Ki Ashanti’s formula.”

Instead, she urged investors to take a longer-term view and focus on their investment goals rather than daily market movements. “Literally try and zoom out and go back to the statistic I said. A 10-year SIP has never been bad for everyone,” Gupta said.

A systematic investment plan, or SIP, allows investors to put a fixed amount into a mutual fund at regular intervals. It can help investors spread their purchases over time instead of investing a lump sum at one market level.

Gupta also pointed to the underlying growth prospects of Indian companies as a reason for investors to maintain perspective despite the challenging external environment. “Finally, you’re investing in India. You’re investing in Indian companies. Earnings growth is not bad,” she said.

Acknowledging the risks, she added that investors should understand what they are signing up for when they invest in equities. “Yes, the external environment is painful,” Gupta said. “But you don’t get 4 per cent or 5 per cent over fixed deposit for free. You get it to bear the volatility.”

India Could Have 100 Asset Management Companies: Radhika Gupta

Gupta also spoke about the evolution of India’s mutual fund industry and how it compares with markets such as the US and China. She said the industry was consolidating, with larger players likely to grow further. At the same time, she sees room for asset managers with different investment strategies and areas of specialisation.

“I have been arguing for the last few years that India will have a hundred different AMCs, and I think now that will happen sooner than later,” she said.

Gupta said global markets have different types of asset managers. Some offer a broad range of products, while others focus on specific investment themes or passive strategies.

She believes India does not need to follow a single model of asset management. Instead, firms with strong products, sound money-management capabilities and a clear proposition can find room to grow. “One of the advantages of this digital age is information on what everyone is doing is available to everyone,” she said.

“If you have a good consumer product, if you know how to manage money well, if you have the right proposition, nothing can stop you from growing,” Gupta added. She also pointed to the changing fortunes of listed asset management companies, saying investors were increasingly noticing the progress made by firms that were once considered smaller players.

  • PNB Rs 35 Crore Fraud: Take These 5 Steps If Money Disappears From Your Bank Account

PNB Rs 35 Crore Fraud: Take These 5 Steps If Money Disappears From Your Bank Account

The alleged fraud involving Punjab National Bank (PNB) customers in Greater Noida, in which account holders lost around Rs 35 crore, has raised questions about how customers can protect their savings and what they can do when money disappears from their accounts without their knowledge.

For many families, a bank account holds years of savings. Discovering unauthorised withdrawals can be devastating, particularly when customers say they did not approve the transactions or sign the documents involved.

While there is no single way to prevent every banking fraud, customers can take steps to reduce the risk. Acting quickly after spotting an unauthorised transaction is equally important.

Adhil Shetty, CEO of BankBazaar, told NDTV that customers must know how to respond when they discover a suspicious transaction. He outlines five steps they should follow to report the fraud and pursue a resolution.

    1. Contact your bank immediately

The first step is to alert the bank as soon as you notice a transaction you do not recognise. Contact its official helpline, visit a branch or use its official banking app. Ask the bank to block the affected card, UPI facility or net banking access, wherever necessary, to prevent further unauthorised transactions.

If the fraud involves access to your account or changes to your banking credentials, ask the bank to secure the account as well. Do not wait to establish exactly how the fraud occurred before reporting it. The priority is to limit further losses.

    2. File a formal complaint and keep the reference number

Informing the bank over the phone is not enough. File a formal complaint and retain the complaint reference number, transaction details and any written acknowledgement. The time taken to report an unauthorised transaction can affect the customer’s liability.

Under Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rules, customers may have zero liability in specified circumstances, including certain third-party breaches reported within three working days of receiving communication from the bank about the transaction. However, zero liability is not automatic in every case. If the loss resulted from the customer’s own negligence, such as sharing payment credentials, the customer may have to bear the loss until the fraud is reported. The applicable rules depend on the circumstances of the transaction. “While instances of money going missing are uncommon, knowing how to react to banking fraud is vital,” Shetty says.

    3. Report the fraud on the cybercrime helpline

If you suspect cyber or digital payment fraud, call the National Cyber Crime Helpline at 1930 immediately. You can also file a complaint through the government’s National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. Keep your bank account details, transaction ID, date of the transaction, amount lost and relevant screenshots handy. These details can help authorities trace the transaction and alert the relevant financial institutions.

If you receive an acknowledgement after reporting the incident through the helpline, follow the instructions to complete the online complaint within the stipulated time. Reporting the incident promptly may help authorities and financial institutions act to prevent the money from moving further, although recovery is not guaranteed.

    4. Preserve every piece of evidence

Keep copies of bank statements, SMS and email alerts, screenshots of unauthorised transactions, complaint acknowledgements and all communication with the bank. If you visited a branch, note the date and details of the discussion. If the bank replies in writing, preserve that response as well.

These records can help establish when the fraud occurred, when you reported it and what action the bank took. They will also be useful if you need to escalate the complaint to the RBI or the police. Shetty advises customers to document the entire process rather than rely only on verbal communication.

    5. Escalate the complaint if the bank does not resolve it

If the bank does not respond within 30 days, or you are dissatisfied with its response, you can approach the RBI Ombudsman under the applicable grievance redress mechanism. Complaints can be filed through the RBI’s Complaint Management System. Customers must first approach their bank and meet the scheme’s eligibility and time-limit requirements.

The RBI Ombudsman mechanism deals with eligible complaints involving deficiencies in services provided by regulated entities. It is not an automatic refund mechanism, and the outcome will depend on the facts of the case. Keep the original bank complaint, reference number, bank’s response, transaction records and supporting documents ready when escalating the matter.
